Description
With augmented reality gaining traction in the corporate world, it was only a matter of time before entire companies were built off of the premise. pARagon Entertainment is the largest force in the market, having debuted with an AR laser tag simulation.

Originally setup in a warehouse near the edge of town, the divided arenas simply consisted of rubber-pavement floors and plastic walls on steel supports, with enough lighting for supervisory staff to see by from catwalks above. In the game, though, the player sees none of this. Rather, the Brainstorm chip fills in the simulation the user agreed to upon purchasing a pass. In what is actually just boring synthetic surroundings, players see weapons appear in their hands as they materialize anywhere from remote jungle villages, to the ruined streets of Neo-Seoul, to the battle for Serenity Valley. In their new surroundings, they face off in team death-match and other objective based team shooter games, or huddle together as they face wave after wave of virtual enemies. Leader-boards float in the sky above the players, and their own individual stats appear alongside objectives on the screen they are always surprised has appeared within their forearm.

pARagon Entertainment has been developing other multiplayer simulations similar in nature, and has opened a new laser tag arena in the middle of Seoul itself. They have claimed several contiguous floors of a skyscraper to be able to support multiple dimensions of game-play in their arenas.
